Sapphire HD 7850 2gb PCI-E OC Edition

So i have a 400w cooler master power supply and i will buy a Sapphire HD 7850 2gb PCI-E OC Edition

I should buy a new power supply or the 7850 will work with the actual?

Also: I want to add 8 GB of ram

I have that card! :p  Minimum for the card is 450w but if you have a high quality 400w psu then you should be fine.

What power supply do you have exactly?

thats a junk psu. any psu advertising "70%" efficiency is junk. That's basically a 270W psu. While the hd 7850 will draw about 150W at stock under load... Unless you have a tiny power sipping cpu, there is no way that psu will work.

I don't know what cpu you have, this would be the min i would advise... basically if you have a 95W cpu or lower, this will work for you

+1 for ingtar coolermaster psu's are notoriously bad

Look for 500w Seasonic/antec/xfx/corsair with the 80+ certification <any of those would do...or the ones that he linked you too

You could fit just about any power supply in that case, so don't worry about what will work, as long as it's an ATX supply, you're in good shape, just watch the efficiency rating and the +12v Amperage rating when looking.
