Good Deals? Or Buyer Beware?

On the hunt for a good deal on the wd re4 1tb internal harddrive I found AeonMicro selling these for $90.50 (usd) vs the $109.00 (usd) at the "egg". Their listing all over amazon stated like everyone else, a 5yr manufacturer's warranty. Please be careful and please contact these sellers prior to making purchases. It can save a lot of wasted time and headaches and return fees. As it turns out, over HALF of the manufacturers warranty on these drives from this company are over. So essentially it's purchasing a 'new' piece of hardware with a key feature missing. The warranty. WD Caviar blues can be had for much cheaper. Double check what goes into your system builds because if you rely on item descriptions there is a good chance you'll be burned.
Please note this is not a slam as I'm out nothing - it's a warning to people to do their research and know what kind of 'deal' they're really getting.

WD RE drives are not retail drives, they are sold to builders/system integraters and warranty starts on that day, not the day it gets sold to the consumer. Thats why some of those drives at a great price are new but may not have any warranty left.
