WD black + ssd cache VS WD velociraptor

Hello forum! I am putting together a pc build and I am wondering which of the two options you guys would recommend. I currently have a 1 TB western digital black edition drive in my computer. I can either buy a 600 GB velociraptor drive (600 GB is enough. The terabyte is overkill as it is), or I can buy a 120 GB pci ssd for caching. I use my system for gaming, but I do many backups and recoveries monthly, which is why I don't want to use an SSD. Thanks!
