Alright, so I built a new computer just recently, and actually got 3 22" dell monitors for free. Got a eyefinity setup finally, and tried running BF3. Maxed everything out, and was surprised how bad of a fps I got. I know 5670 x 1080 is a huge reso, but I don't know if I want to set my games to medium settings to get a decent FPS. Looking into crossfiring 7970s.. Just wondering how much of a FPS boost it would be and if it's worth the extra $400?

The biggest issue with 7970's is the lack of frame metering with AMD. While it is scheduled to be fixed soon, it still has issues, and is especially bad in BF3. You'd need to put on a FPS limiter for now, to help keep the frame times under control.

Well, my straight up answer would be, why not. 7970s are going for less than $350 in Canada and if your PSU is up to snuff, now's as good as ever to pick up another.
