I am buying a new graphics card.

I prefer the GTX 760 to the 7950, however, the 760 only has 2gb VRAM and the 7950 has 3gb of VRAM.

If i get the 760 I will eventually be using it with SLI when I can afford another graphics card.

If you plan on playing games above 1080P the bigger memory will help.

Maybe. 512MB of vRAM was common in 2008 and some of the latest games are still playable of a 8800 GT with 512MB. But with Direct X 11.2 I think video RAM won't matter as much as before. But who really knows? It seems like Graphics cards are really taking off right now with huge performance increases every 2 years or so. Although CPU's almost seem to be at a stand still for the time being. You never know what's going to happen.

Indeed. I know there is no real answer, however I was just interested to see what people had to say.
I think I am going to stick with 2gb of VRAM as I really don't think I will need more than this for a long time playing on a 1080p screen.
