I've had trouble finding RAM for my new build since prices have gone up so much, but I finally found a pair of Corsair Vengeance 8GB for $60. However, I don't know if it's compatible with my mobo and cpu cooler due to the huge heatspreaders. The LP version of this RAM would cost $15 more, so I don't know if that's worth it.

I have most of the parts for my build already, so I can't really change much with the other parts.
CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H
Case: CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced

Complete build:

Help would be greatly appreciated!

a couple of notes

-a 650w psu is not needed nor is modularity and the efficency needed for such a build. a xfx 550w for 40 ish bucks will do the same job just as well.
-get this ssd. in real life they perform the same. dont waste your time with the 840 pro

-get the z87x-d3h instead. same board, but less sata ports that you arent going to use
-your best ram option. price match it or price beat it at ncix or memory express. if you live in vancouver or toronto, just price match it at ncix. the corsair does not fit

- I already bought the PSU though. I'm a big fan of EVGA and didn't think it was too big a price premium considering its modularity is probably better for a first-timer?
- I'm actually going with the Samsung 840 non-pro now, since I just found a 120GB version for $70.
- The UD3H motherboard is only around $10 more, which is worth it for the better DAC and a few other features imo.
- I'm already price beating at Memory Express to get the Corsair Vengeance for $60, but I wasn't sure if it'd fit.

Thanks for the help, I'll look into the Crucial RAM

its double the price of a xfx unit. i dont see how that isnt a huge premium. the psu you have there is a superflower unit. the one i have is a seasonic unit. they are both great companies and their psus are the same quality. there isnt a huge difference between how well they perform, but a huge difference in cost

i would have spent the 10 dollars on a CPU cooler but your cal. there are no onboard DACs. the onboard sound is going to sound the same regardless
