You would be fine with a Core i5 3470 or an FX 6300 really. You don't need a Core i7 to game at lower resolutions. I would say that your graphics card will be the bottleneck anyway.

If you are going to be gaming at that resolution any i5 should be more than good enough

Non K if you will for sure never overclock. It's nice to have the option though just in case. The Core i5 3570 would be great but slightly overkill. Still, it's nice to have a CPU that's a little faster than you need.. Especially if you plan on keeping it for a long time.
