Hello,

I have been looking around at various prebuilt computers and such and found an Avatar FX6377 on Newegg for $700: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883258045

I am wondering whether or not it is a good investment.

I am wanting to play Minecraft, BF3, Crysis 3, World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Call of Duty, and some others.

If the PC is good, what kind of FPS and settings can I expect to play? What games will run best?

Thanks,

Ac3

FX-Series are so OverPriced lol... PCPartPicker.com (Do It Yourself PC) is WAY MORE fun and for 700$- 800$ range, u'll get a much better PC.

EDIT: Benchmark says that on high setting...ll get around 50 fps in BF3

Well from my view the GPU would be on the low side. Personally I would build the rig myself instead of a prebuilt but that is just me. I think you get a better deal when you hand pick the parts and build it yourself.

I personally have not used that GPU so I can't really say how the performance would be. I have a friend that has a 7890 and it seams to do fairly well in the games you listed.

The main sour spot I could see would be the 450watt PSU because if you choose later to upgrade the GPU you would need to upgrade the PSU also it just on the low side and there is no info on what make/model is even in it.

Whenever you said that the benchmark says that on high settings you'll get around 50 FPS in BF3 what computer are you talking about?

i forgot about the phenoms. im not sure if they are still good enough, but i know that a lot of people still have them. if you can, change the 430w psu for a 500 or 600, then you can overclock if you want to. 430w is too close to the recommended wattage

here, i changed the psu for a 600w http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1jX2O

If you are looking for a prebuilt system I would not buy from anywhere but Amazon. And when I say from Amazon I mean sold and shipped by Amazon. They have the best customer service I have ever dealt with. And if you need a computer for a $700 budget then the system below may be what you are needing.

Prebuilt Gaming System http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0080NQCWY?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393177&creativeASIN=B0080NQCWY&linkCode=shr&tag=twinkforev-20&qid=1375189128&sr=8-3&keywords=gaming+computer

I bought my rig on Amazon, and also build my own system from parts all aquired on Amazon. Why? Because the return policy Amazon has is just great. I order gaming speakers (genius GX gaming) from Amazon that arrived dead. They paid UPS to pick up and replace the speakers, all within 2 days, at no cost to myself.
