Long story short, I was fiddling with my computer to get a game to work and ended up uninstalling my display driver all together. It was an AMD radeon hd 6250g. Now, every time I try to reinstall it, the install just hangs for a while and then it times out and says that a "problem occurred" and to go to the manufacturer's website. Well, that doesn't help either.

I really, really need help. :(

I would recommend that you click the automatically install and detect driver

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Top right it says automatically detect and install click the "download now" below it. After download initiate it. It will then commence.

This should work. My friend was in the same situation as you and this troubleshoot worked.

If that doesn't work then try the link below it the "AMD Catalyst Un-install Utility" and then try re-installing the latest driver.

That's the problem. I've tried that, it does the same thing every time no matter what I use. The installation times out and the display drivers fail to install.

I COMPLETELY uninstalled the driver, so it doesn't auto detect anything. There are no drivers to update.

That could be it. Originally what happened was I rolled back my AMD driver thinking it would just get rid of the Catalyst update, but what happened was it rolled it back to another driver. I'm not sure what the driver was called, but even then it wouldn't let me reinstall the AMD Radeon HD driver. Not to mention, the VGA Controller won't install either. But, I'll try that. I don't even know what driver to install, though...

I'm not finding any older drivers. Ugh this is so frustrating.

Okay, so I tried using the "AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool" and after trying to install I get this:

"ATI Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. Your computer does not contain a proper graphics adapter".
