I believe you get another $50 off because you buy the MB and CPU from Microcenter.

Thank you for the response, This looks very similar to what i had in mind however i was leaning more towards the fx-8350 for my needs. I've seen 100s of benchmarks and videos on performance for both gaming and editing compared to the i7-4770k. However i haven't done much research on the i5 4670k but I've heard its about half the speed of the i7 when rendering, I'm going to be doing a lots of multitasking and streaming aside from the editing and gaming will the i5 haswell be enough for my needs?

I've spent the past 2 weeks putting together this build below but 75% of the builds i look at seem to be Intel.

( Please note that the Purchased CPU/Mobo i haven't bought that's just what i would pay for them at microcenter after tax to get a more realistic price. )

Not really half; HT only gives about a 25% improvement.

Rereading your original post though, an FX chip might be a better fit. I'd say that it's probably a good idea to get a cheaper board though (IMO there's little advantage to the sabertooth; it's marketing and status), and 16GB RAM.

Should have read original post more...

Do you have any suggestions for a cheaper mobo, I really don't plan on crossfire but the sabertooth 990fx has great reviews on overclocking the 8350. I only have air to start but plan on getting water cooling in the future and want to try and push the 8350 to 5ghz if I'm lucky in the silicone lottery.

I'll list the motherboards at microcenter for the fx-8350 bundle to save $40 + tax

MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ ATX for $219.98
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Socket AM3+ ATX for $234.98
ASROCk 970 Extreme4 AM3+ ATX for $239.98
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Socket AM3+ 990FX ATX for $267.98
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AM3+ ATX for $334.98
