1GB vs 2GB and the bit difference

hi guys, im trying to buy a new graphic card.. i think i want to buy GTX 650 OC gigabyte.. but it sell wiff difference bit n memory. can someone explain to me the importance of this 2? and will the GPU can go along with my motherboard?

Don't go for the 650, the 650ti 'Boost' is another $30 and way, way faster. Any card will work with your motherboard.

These days 1GB cards are pretty much obsolete unless you have a very low res monitor, so don't buy one. With 650's it should be GDDR5 and 192Bit, so long as theres that go for it.

nice but can u explain more about the difference of the 1Gb and 2GB. i read bout it.. but still cant see the main picture.

The graphic RAM is a place for the game to store its textures.

Naturally, the more you have, the more textures can be stored on the memory. This eliminates the need for the game to go back to your storage drive and fetch the textures, leading to smoother gameplay.

At the GTX 650 level, the extra 1GB of RAM won't make a world of difference, as you'd need to be gaming at very high resolution in a very demanding game to notice the difference.

so it's fine for me to buy gtx 650 1GB if my monitor is 20 inch? cuz it doesnt hav high resolution nyways

It's not the monitor size that matters; it's the resolution. A 20 inch monitor is typically 1600x900 or 1680x1050, so a GTX 650 1GB should be fine for most games on that monitor.
