Hi,

A while ago, I found out that my ssd was filled up(I had 1 ssd (128gb) and 1 WD caviar black (1TB) ). I didnt know how that was even possible cause i had just built my PC. I checked the disks and my hard drive wasn't allocated. I ended up accidentley marking it active. So i got rid of that HD and got a new one (same kind). I checked and it says its unallocated. Anyone know how to allocate it.(windows 8 btw)

Any Help would be great,
John

Ok let me get this straight. You had 1 SSD and 1TB HDD. You then got a new 1 TB HDD?? (Your old one should still be fine). Leaving you with Windows 8 on your SSD and an un-allocated 1TB HDD?

If this is right, to allocate the 1TB HDD follow these steps:

1. Right click in the bottom *left of your computer screen, this will bring up a menu
2. Click "Disk Management"
3. Find your 1 TB HDD, it should say un-allocated here
4. Right Click on it and select "New Simple Volume"
5. Follow the instructions

Here's a youtube that shows the steps (its slightly different at the start)
