I have a GA-G41MT-S2PT motherboard that is not overclocked. I have been trying to get F3-10600CL8D-4gbhk RAM to run in dual channel mode. However, I get a BSOD usually saying memory management after about an hour or hour and a half in windows 7. The odd thing is the ram will run in single with no BSOD's. I have ran memtest86 with no errors and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it won't work in dual channel. I have tried manual ram timings of 8-8-8-21 @ 1.5v and some variations at different speeds (1066 mhz and 1333 mghz). The processor is a core 2 duo e7500. What could be the issue here?

Is FSB at 1333 or higher? May need to add a little voltage to the DRAM itself and/or the NB (possibly the vCore)...It's an older mobo, but does it have the latest BIOS

Ok. I did get one of the g skill sticks to fail after about 2 ½ hours running in windows. Got the BSOD Header_Pool something, but I immediately ran memtest86 on the soft reset and errors out the wazooo on that stick by itself. Going to try the same thing on the other stick. I am aware the e7500 is 1066 mhz fsb. I tried changing the multiplier to reflect 9x @ 333mhz to get the ram to run at 1333 mhz. However, had the same instability problem. Tried quite a few combos and had more stability with the ram at 1066 mhz, but it still fails just takes a little longer. I'm hoping this other stick runs stable by itself and it is just the one faulty stick. I'll check back in a little while to update.

PS: I do have some sort of generic backup DDR3 stick that has run stable on the PC for a few days running 7-7-7-20 @ 533mhz(1066). Has me leaning towards something wrong with the g skill stick(s) or I am terrible at setting manual ram timings.

Might be best to try keeping at 1066 for now and working with it, do you know the model number of the sticks

Sorry bout, that, I've been using GSkill for years and think of the model lines by designation

Going on 4+ hours without a BSOD while running the one g skill stick. The other I ran solo did crash after about 1 to 1½ hours. I'm now thinking I have 1 faulty stick and 1 stick that is fine. I will continue testing this stick, but I have a question. Is it possible that the reason memtest86 didn't pick up the errors on the test right away because the faults are how do we say deeper on the stick and that's why it was able to run for 1 to 2 hours before BSOD?? I had tested both sticks individually, but it was only for about 2 hours and had no errors.

It's possible yes, could look into an RMA, the GSkill sticks have a lifetime guarantee

I thank you for all the help I have received. It seems that one stick is indeed faulty, as the other stick has tested for close to 24 hours now without a BSOD. Also, thanks for the timing suggestion for 1066 mhz. I am going to indeed RMA the kit and hopefully both sticks I receive back will work. I was a little confused at first because both sticks were passing memtest just fine. However, I hadn't really given them a good test for longer than a couple of hours. So, lesson learned about testing RAM.
