my question is if i can run a game like fallout new vegas on this build in its current state? my comp is at 3.4 no overclocking as of now with a evga 770 gpu, and i5 4670k haswell. its all bieng cooled by the chassis fans and the stock cpu heatsink because my water cooler pump came in defective.

If you're going to be gaming I wouldn't suggest using a stock CPU cooler. I'm not an expert in this sort of thing, but I would suggest an aftermarket cooler if you can afford to get one before you game. I suppose for short sessions maybe 2-3 hours it will be fine, but I wouldn't have any 5hr+ sessions just to be on the safe side. I'm very paranoid of hardware failure though, so I treat all my own and other peoples stuff like it's a kings, so I may be exaggerating it. If it were my call though, I wouldn't game for more than 5 hours without taking a break. And I'd try to get an aftermarket CPU cooler as soon as possible just to help lower temps.
