can i use 2 SSD

hi guys.. i just bought 64 gb ssd.. i install my OS in it and it feels amazing (put on SATA 1). its super duper stupidly fast.. so i am wondering if i buy 1 more ssd of 128 gb can i get the best performance on my motherboard p8z77-M if i pin it on SATA 2.. sry for asking im a bit noob with these things.

You can use 2 ssds but its a good idea to have a backup hard disk drive to store non essential files. One ssd and a Hdd should be fine.

Agree, definitely want a platter for data files and redirecting cache, temp, etc files to, while SSDs are getting better and better, writes still deteriorate the life span, have seen them die in a year and less. If you want more room for Apps, could also add another 64GB and throw the two into RAID 0 for a real speed kick

if you want to buy a good ssd , get only Samsung 840 PRO ...

the 128 G one .. it is the fastest in the market today , and be sure it is the "Pro" version.

if you are a beginner , avoid Raid 0 ... use the 128 G Samsung 840 pro as your System drive .
