if you want to buy a good ssd , get only Samsung 840 PRO ...

the 128 G one .. it is the fastest in the market today , and be sure it is the "Pro" version.

if you are a beginner , avoid Raid 0 ... use the 128 G Samsung 840 pro as your System drive .

Agree, definitely want a platter for data files and redirecting cache, temp, etc files to, while SSDs are getting better and better, writes still deteriorate the life span, have seen them die in a year and less. If you want more room for Apps, could also add another 64GB and throw the two into RAID 0 for a real speed kick
