what are the best gaming motherboards for intels 4th gen processors? ill be getting the i5 4670k, something that you can easily sli with, and overclocking isnt a hassle..

The Asus Maximus VI series is the best of the best for overclocking and component quality. The Asus Maximus VI Hero seems to be a bit of a favorite around here.

I agree with you that it's a nice board but i would much rather go with an gigabyte z87x ud4h.
You can still overclock nicely, it has SLI support, really nice color scheme (if that's your thing) etc.

True, it's not that much cheaper but I really like it. Just depends on what your preference is.

That sinper has SLI support too , and its a very solid motherboard. being MATX does not mean a bad mobo , just 2 slots missing.

this Sniper M5 is better than your mother board for the components on it. if you want to compare it to anything , compare it to higher ATX Sniper selling for 400$

your choice is very low level ... not comparable at all to the Sniper M5 ...

and any ways the Sniper M5 is selling for 170$ with CPU+Mobo Combo at new egg , so it is 170$

SNA3 , your board option is absolute beast for an M-ATX and the price of course, but i wouldn't recommend it if he want to do intense overclocking on the build, this board hit skyrocket high temp at 90c+ on 4.7/4.8GHz with H100i.
Better go with Z87-GD65 gaming rather than skyrocket temp Sniper M5 while it still hot.

Every ATX or M-ATX Z87 board is capable SLI, no need worry!

ASUS Maximus Hero - best gaming board. Feature as on-board sound better than MSI Z87-GD65 gaming(edge out Hero in term of performance)
For pure gaming, MSI Z87-G45 gaming is what you really needed. perform same as MSI Z87 GD65 gaming.
ASRock Z87 Extreme 6 and UD3H also good alternative for nice OC gaming board.

Same website, but its about a month ago or older i enter to this website, not clear when, look like I a bit mess up with that,they test at 4.9GHz using H100i, and temp go over 90c, same as Z87 GD65-gaming at 4.8GHz.
Look like I mess up with my mind on that, sorry!
You got it right, SNA3, but it still hot, isn't it? Regardless of its beasty performance.
