Hello! I'm planning on upgrading my motherboard to support the newer graphics cards and I would like to know all of your recommendations!

Current rig:

Motherboard - Asus rock P67 extreme4
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Video card - Radeon hd 5770

Processor - Intel i5 2500k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Memory - 8gb ram

PSU - 550w (upgradable if needed)

OS - windows 7

1. My budget is under $600 for both the graphics card and motherboard.

2. I'm playing on a single monitor 1080p.

3. I plan on overclocking in the future.

4. I'm interested in the gtx 760 graphics card.

Hi, You don't need to change your board at all. All PCIE cards will work fine, don't worry about getting a PCIE 3 board as I run a 780 on PCIE 2 without any problems. I would keep the current board and spend more on a better graphics card.

Oh so would my motherboard be limiting the performance of the 760 in any way then?

No not really any at all. At this time I do not know if even the Titan saturates the PCI-E x16 version 2.0 bus but there is no way it will limit your GTX 760 in any way shape or form.

PCI-E version 3 will be important at some point but right now the GPU's just have not done that.
