Its 2 years old.......and i always use my pc upto 100% and beyond that it crashes....do u still want me to change "CMOS" ?

A dead CMOS batter would have nothing what so ever to do with the problem you are have period.

When you say monitor does not respond does the monitor just stay black? When this happens does the power light on your tower(CPU) turn on do the fans come on?

If it were a dead CMOS battery you would see a message when you boot up something like "CMOS settings have changed! Press F1 for setup" or something close. If you get nothing at all from the system meaning no lights fans hard drive noise it could be a bad power switch bad PSU so let us know if you get anything at all when this happens we can go from there.

When i say monitor dosnt respond it means "When i connect monitor's port to Graphics card port or normal cpu port, power cuts off in monitor, i have to switch it back again and it stays on for about 5 secs and turns off but when i disconnect the monitor port from Graphics card or normal cpu port, power to monitor returns". Yes, my power light turns on, cpu runs fine and other fans too run fine. Other than this i dont get any msg of "CMOS settings have been changed".

Been stuck with this for the past week. Help will be appreciated

I replaced asus 6670 to my older nvidia 210, now it works fine. I have been using New ASUS 6670 for the past 2 months with sm problem like "Video driver has stopped working and recovered successfully" only while gaming and between tweaks........but now it takes too many restarts to switch on or display anything on monitor....Is it Video card itself? Or Is it Mobo Or Is it PSU ?
