Hi guys i was thinking of buying a laptop and its an Acer... however i have to choose between 2 laptops.. one has Intel HD 4000 and the other has Geforce 710m 1gb

I dont know if it helps to write down the specs but here they are..

Compuiter 1
- Acer E1-571G
- Intel Core i5-3230M
- GeForce® 710M 1GB
- 6GB RAM DDR3
- 750GB HDD
- Windows 8

Computer 2
- Acer E1-571
- Intel Core i5-3230M
- Intel HD Graphics 4000
- 8GB RAM DDR3
- 750GB HDD
- Windows 8

They are the same computer the only thing that is different is that computer 1 has lower RAM than computer 2, and they also have 2 different graphic cards...

Which one is the to buy??

Acers are cheap. It wont over heat but you can expect it to get warm even tho the components in it are fairly efficient due to the cheaper cooling systems they use. That being said the acers ive had were never uncomfortably hot.

As other people said go with the 710 as you'll more likely notice the lack of gpu over the less ram.

Personally I like dedicated cards that have their own memory. The 710m is slightly faster for 3D but not so much that you would really notice much of a difference. I think the more important choice is do you need the extra 2GB of RAM for something specific that you know you will be using a high RAM scenario. I'm not talking regular office computer use, but large data sets where you actually might need more than 6GB at a time.

If it's just a regular old browsing, video watching, office work, and web games style machine then either would do.

Nvidia Geforce 710m is 14% proportionally better in performance than Intel HD graphics 4000 Mobile, that is according to this,
http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=1250&gid2=864&compare=geforce-710m-vs-intel-hd-graphics-4000-mobile#
and i think that regarding 2gb difference, it doesn't matter that much
so get Computer 1 :)
