So i am having to revamp my pc build by lowering the csot bust quite a good bit due to some issues that have came up.

What i am looking for is a build that has an i7 for hyperthreading my videos, and has a good gaming performance.

Please do not suggest a i5 processor unless you are certain that it will be able to render out 10-30min HD videos in an adequate time frame.

I am going to OC to what is possible.
Gaming on a 1080p, 60hz resolution.
No Microcenter please
Prefer Intel > AMD
Nvidia > AMD
Clean looking case like a Fractal or so please.

This is what i have come up with and would like to hear some reviews and critiques Thank you.

Some parts are listed from microcenter which i dont have access to.
Would just getting an h60 and mounting on the rear still have a decent OC capability, i dont want air cooled jsut because i dont like the size that it takes up.
The case seems too be ok (still microcenter)

From your opinion for editing about 1-5 HD videos varying from 5-20min that an i7 and 16gb of ram is necessary, My current pc is a i5 3220, 8gb ram and takes about about 4gb of ram usage and 98% cpu usage. (sony vegas 12)

price match at us.ncix. free shipping as well

if you want to slap that POS on your motherboard just because it looks nicer, go ahead. otherwise, id get a proper heatsink that performs better than a hyper 212 evo

just get a i7 3770k and put that into your existing rig. makes more economical sense than getting a new rig altogether

well i am selling my current pc to my buddy and it was just a alienware x51 that my parents had gotten me and i just dont like the size, heat, noise and very low upgrade ability. Well if i was wanting an AIO water cooler that will be able to OC to about 4.2Ghz what would you recommend, sorry i do not want a huge block in the middle of my case but its a preference and dont understand why you have to criticize when its my preference.

there is only one good AIO unit out there and that is the h220 from swiftech. they cost 150 dollars however and i assume that would be out of your budget range

the reasons i dont recommend a AIO

-they dont perform better but they cost 2-3x as much. also note, by 3 years, you are looking to replace it as the water will evaporate over time
-yeah sure they look nicer but when they leak you just lost 1000 dollars worth of hardware all without you noticing until something goes BSOD
-they are built cheaply using thin tubing, aluminum fins, and a cheap pump and block assembly
-they are not easier to assemble as they might look to be.

Ok so i switched up to haswell and went with an air cooling heatsink. How does this one stack up compared to the one you posted?

-id make the upgrade to a tc12dx from phanteks. a hyper 212 evo at full load is rather loud
-the gigabyte board is just as good for much cheaper
-you will want the extra ram. i personally dont know how you manage video editing with 8 but i have 8 in my system and there is no way i can do anything while i transcode dvds without running out of ram.
-make use of the SSD. its a must if you want quick loading times
-the card is cheaper at us.ncix. no reason to order directly from newegg
-the fractal case is built better than the 550D. i can tell you that first hand because i have used both cases
-the xfx is the same unit, but half the price

made changes to the build before and updated with a few different parts,
- PSU i would like a modular just so i dont have to deal with cables not being used (preference) i understand it is costing me more
- Went with the r4 again, seems to be a good case and once again Preference
- Switched to 16gb of ram
- using the 840 SSD, both seem great but i trust samsung more plus same price

Does this look ok with the subtle changes i made.

the crucial ram kits are cheaper. id suggest getting those instead

on a 550w unit, there arent that many cables for you to hide. with the R4 or R2 having a massive amount of space in the back, it can be easily done
-the 840 SSD has 1/3 of the write cycles and a highly crippled write speed. i highly do not recommend using them if you are going to move files around a lot
-they are the same case. just that the R4 has silencing foam
