Hi.
I'm going to build my own pc, and I'm going to go with an amd build. I'm going to get a 8350 or a 4350. (By the way, I've heard most games don't like multi-threaded cpus. Which cpu is actually better for gaming?). I'm planning to water cool this cpu with a rasa RX240 rad. So I'm a pretty brutal overclocker and I'm planning to try to get the best oc possible. I've seen people get the 8350 to about 5.0 with a water cooling kit. And I've seen Jayztwocents get his 8350 to about 5.5.
Which mobo is better for gaming and overclocking?

For overclocking and gaming, the ROG CVF is tough to beat - especially at those frequencies. At 5GHz upwards these CPUs an pull more current via the EPS 12V line than a single connector is specified for when placed under full load.24 amps is the spec max current of the connectors used. An 8350 can breach that if the VID required is high enough for the frequency. Having a supplementary connector is a definite boon to prevent meltdown of the EPS 12V.

Thanks for the reply :). Can I ask, what's a supplementary connector?

Ahhhh okay.
This may not be to do with the topic, but will this psu do the job SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W
(I'll be using the oc with the additional 4pin connector, with 1tb hdd, 64gb ssd, 2x gtx 660, 1x gtx 640 for physx, apevia x trooper, 16gb ram)
If it won't support all of that could you recommend which one will.

If you're going to OC that hard, I'd allow some extra margin in the PSU - always buy around 20% higher than worst case scenario total system power draw. An 8 thread CPU running at 5GHz can pull peak currents that equate to over 300W on its own. Take that into account. The GPU power draw I do not know off the top of my head - I suspect it's not that much. Either way, someone like me would opt for an 850W PSU just for the fact that I like allowing comfortable over-tolerance and don't hedge bets on sometimes optimistic PSU specs.

Thanks... I'm stuck on newegg trying to actually find one. Could you link me to a good one which will support my system?
