Hi,

I am looking for a good and reliable 650W power supply. I was recommend this one, the Corsair HX 650 (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139012&Tpk=Corsair%20HX%20650&IsVirtualParent=1). The feedbacks on Newegg are good, but I see a lot of them saying that the unit fail after a couple of months or making a lot of noise. But this one is still in the top sellers. Is this a good buy ? Tell me ! The other one I was recommend is the Seasonic X-650, but there is a 30$ difference between the two. Which one should I choose ?

Solution
The Corsair HX Series HX650 (SKU# CP-9020030) is based on Seasonic's G-Series G-650 (SSR-650RM Active PFC F3) model that is Intel Haswell Ready.

So essentially you're looking at two Seasonic made PSUs.

The Corsair model being only semi-modular and the Seasonic X-650 being fully modular.
