For the last long while, I've been suffering from this annoying issue where my internet would just cut off suddenly on this PC, while all other devices/computers in the house would run it fine. The only way to fix this problem quickly and temporarily would be disconnecting my modem and router which is quite the pain. I've looked around the internet and everyone says to go into Device Manager and find your network adapter and untick the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." I was able to do this, to no avail, but the weird part about this is that the network adapter was not found under the "Network Adapter" tab. In fact, there is no "Network Adapter" tab at all. The adapter, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, is found under the "Unknown" tab in the device manager. Is this a common issue that can be fixed? Also, is it the reason for my constant disconnections? I'm not sure what to add, so please tell me if you need more information, which you probably do. BTW I rushed this so forgive me if it's hard to understand.
