We can try to diagnose this but we need more information, The BSOD should have a line at the upper part of the screen that reads something like this "WINDOWS_IS_GOING_TO_CRASH" and then it should have some technical information a little below the middle of the page with things like this"0x0000000003F" (number of zeros does not matter ) we will need that info to try and find out what the issue is. However...BSODs are hardware issues about 70 percent of the time, the power outage might have shorted something. Also if it is Windows related and not hardware then you will probably need a windows install disc/recovery disc or at least a windows repair disc to fix it. Lastly what I think Tom was trying to say is that if it is a Brand name PC (Dell, HP, IBM, Acer etc.) then you can usually purchase a recovery disc from the manufacturer for A LOT less then buying a new copy of Windows (I think Acer used to sell them for 10 dollars!) and that is if you don't have one. So, we can try but it may be a hardware issue, and if not you will need a way to reinstall or repair windows. Sorry, power surges are really painful....that did not come out right.
