So, this pc is pretty new and its working fine when im not gaming, however when i play some games the pc just restarts, no BSOD, its kind of random, it mostly depends on game, sometimes it takes only 5 minutes to restart, but it can take like 1 hour to restart too.

I've replaced memory sticks and HDD, but its still restarting

PC info:

i5 3570 (non-K version, so no OC)
Radeon HD 7850 1gb
GA-B75M-D3H
2x 4gb ram
1TB HDD Seagate
Corsair 430CX v2 (its the old version, it provides 28A on 12v rail)

Also, i've ran furmark and the pc restarted in less than 5 minutes, max temp was like 70C.

More about : restarting playing games psu

It still sounds like an overheat. What was your CPU temp while running furmark? If you haven't already, try running furmark again with CPUz running in the background to monitor your CPU temps.

Well you should monitor CPU temp while gaming as that can be a cause of BSOD. But your test with furmark seems to indicate a GPU problem which could be caused by a lack of power.

CX430 V2 indicates that it is the newer model supply made my Channel Well. Should be faily reliable. Not a lot of testing you can do without a second power supply to rule that out.

Check your Windows system logs for the crashes. Often times the device ID/driver of the part that caused the problem will be listed. You can compare this to the Device IDs in your device manager to see if it is the CPU versus the GPU.

If you are comfortable underclocking and undervolting your video card you could reduce its power requirements to see if it becomes more stable.

Also try a less higher graphics level in the game, does it then seem to happen less often. Sometime we can play higher level graphics, but overtime (overheating / overstressing) the hardware will do exactly that.

I've ran furmark with CPUZ running in the background, CPU temps were like 55C max, pc restarted in 2-3 minutes.

@Eximo: There is a newer version of this PSU, its the one with bronze plus certification, it provides 32 amps on 12v rail... my psu doesnt have that bronze plus certification, it just provides 28 amps on 12v rail, thats about 336w total.
How do I check windows logs for crashes?

@Tom Tancredi: I've tried that with many games, but it still restarts.

At this point, i think its either the PSU or a faulty mobo, i dont know. =/

Also, do you guys think that if i replace this PSU for the newer version of that Corsair CX430 (the one with bronze plus certification) will solve my problem? I mean, 32A on 12v rail seems more than enough for this rig.

UPDATE: I've just tested my pc without my video card. Ran furmark with onboard video and everything was ok, no restarts, also i played some games and it didnt restart too.

So looks like my PSU cant handle my system with video card installed, right?
