Just bought this new monitor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

After plugging it in via HDMI to my PC I went into the PC settings to change it to 1080p resolution which I did, but I was only able to max out my refresh rate at 60hz. How am I able to get my maximum refresh rate on my new monitor? Does Windows not have this ability?

HDMI doesn't support 120Hz refresh rates- you'd have to get a DVI-D cable.

Or use DP - Display Port.
