Saving money on the h100i

Should i buy a refurbished h100i for about 30 bucks less or not scimp out for my cpu's safety?

I would not buy a h100 in the first place.

A good air cooler will cool about as well, cost less, be quieter and be more reliable.
I see too many tales of woe when a liquid cooler leaks and destroys parts.

Buying a refubished product is essentially buying it used- personally I'd just buy it new. So that's what I recommend.
