Hey Guys :D
I have this amd fx 4100 and I was wondering if it was bottlenecking the rest of my system in Minecraft and a few other games. I know that minecraft is cpu intensive and I was just wondering if it wasn't quite up to the job.

I know with the system I have I shouldn't be playing only minecraft but I like the game and I do play lots of others as well.

Specs: Fx 4100, Ati 7870 XFX DD, Coolermaster GX 650w, 8gB 1333 ram, and a 500GB HDD

Thanks in advance

Those specs should blow Minecraft out of the water, as they say. You must have other issues if you are struggling with MC. Have you got a lot of background garbage going on? Check your start up folder and your Configuration/Start Up to see how much is running at start up. You should be able to get by with less than 6-8 items checked.
Also run CCleaner to rid your system of registry errors and other resource wasting crap. You may need to run it more than once if your system is really garbaged up.

The 965 is actually considerably better than the 4100...
The 4300 is about equal to the 965.

Your CPU bottlenecks your GPU... if your playing minecraft its probably your RAM... How much ram do you have?
CPU upgrade would be a 6300 but you should have 4 gigs + of RAM
