I'm thinking about buying an fx 6300 CPU and I'm wondering if the thermal grease that is pre-applied to the cooler good enough?

I don't plan on overclocking I just plan on playing games such as battlefield 3 and skyrim.

More about : pre applied thermal grease

It should be. If you feel wary, go ahead and purchase a small tube of Arctic Cooling MX-4.

The worst that could happen is that you lose a couple bucks. If you ever have to re-install your cooler, or you want to upgrade to an aftermarket cooler, then you're prepared.

Good answer and always use just a pea size drop on the cpu when you are using the artic cooling mx-4 but all in all if your not overclocking the thermal paste it came with is good enough.
