I was wondering if i need a Aftermarket cooler to overclock my 3570k. I'm using a asus z77-LK board and want to do some minor overclocking.

AI Suite II Came with my board and is easy to do small minor increases and have seen many tuts on it. I'm not interested in doing manual overclocking without a aftermarket cooler.

Has anyone used this program and had good results? Like i said, i don't have a cooler atm

Will be buying a cooler down the road... Any suggestions?

Slightly lower priced is the original Hyper 212 Plus, not quite as good as the EVO, but still very good....Once I got the EVO it was my cooler of choice, the option of adding the second fan with included bracket is a nice touch also

I'm not a fan of OCing software, like to have control myself, but for minor OCing it will prob work well. With the 3570K should be able to hit 4-4.1 or 4.2 on basically stock voltage (monitor your temps - something like Core-Temp works well), on the cooler, I'd look at the Hyper 212 EVO, they work as well as the H100 liquid cooler that run's $110, have used around a 100 of them on builds, and never a problem

I always seem to come back and look at the EVO, i also have used it in a couple builds (not my pc personally but for friends) and never had any problems. Is there anything that is competitive with the EVO for around the same price range?

hyper 212 plus is also nice. but evo is better and so are the h80i h100i, d14. so depending on what your wallet can spit out, get a aftermarket cooling. a cool system is a good system. specially if those fit your current chassis for exampel of the d14 not all case can fit that beast.
