A couple days back we had a storm and Lightening took out my Phone, Router, Frig , and a Dell Inspiron one and my Emachine My question is about the Emachine The darn thing is acting wierd to say the least some times all it does is run the CPU Fan, No Video no audio no nothing not even a beep when i pull out both Ram sticks and restart and then theres been a couple times after it sits for 10 minutes it will display the start up page giving me the option to press f2 and or f10 to enter the Bios I did and made 1st boot my Cd rom then i put in the operating system and it began to install the files but then it comes up with a option where to store files or something like that theres issues there and when i investigated further i found its not seeing either of the hard drives I'm just a DIY guy not to kneen on the art or PC Repair but just confident enough to know if i get just enough of the right info i'll get it done. I had plans on re installing the hard drive drivers thinking this could solve my problem but failed in doing that for various reasons. decided to just buy another mother board and man what a pain thats turned out to be the company i bought it from said the new ECS EliteGroup G31T-M7 would be compatible with my Itel Celeron dual core E1200 1.60 ghz/512/800/06 but after installing it i found it wasnt !
even checked Itel's web site found my CPU, viewed the info on it and found theres no way it is compatible with the new board the salesman sold me . The mother board thats in this machine is the Elitegroup 945gct-M3 I cant find this board anywhere I the same company that sold me the EliteGroup G31T-M7 told me that my Elitegroup 945gct-M3 was not a Mother Board made my EliteGroup but Rather a gateway board with Gateway Bios. Sound like i'm dealing with a sales person who's more ignorant than myself in this field, Any one know weather this person know something i dont ? i mean i got the info right off the sticker on the Board so how in the world can it be anything other than what it shows it is ? I checked EliteGroup web site hoping to find the drivers or the board itself but struck out So any help anyone could lend is likely to be most usful Lets start with solutions to my problem and go from there and a place to buy the Elitegroup 945gct-M3 if possible Thanks Fellas
