Hey everyone, i didn't know where to put this thread in, so i put it here since there are many helpful experts in the graphic card area.

Just only 2 hours ago i almost made up my mind on buying a mediocre budget gaming rig that would combine the FX 6300 CPU and the GTX 760 GPU. Shortly after i remembered that i had an Xbox 360, which if sold would give me more money to spend on better specs. We all know the next - gen consoles are currently on the line, and the huge step they have made with system specs and all.
So basically, selling my current console would come in handy for only 1 of 2 benifits. Were i live, these things are over priced, so my choices are :

1: Selling it, achieving almost 3/4 of the PS4's price.

2: Selling it, adding up to my budget, and getting a REAL capable gaming RIG

After some deeper thinking, i thought , what about GTA 5 and a few of the other games coming at the 360's end of days, those won't be available for PC right after.

Then i thought, ''The PS4, would be a great hit everyone will be talking about it, but ill have to still wait and save up more''

Guys, i would like to have your opinions on a soloution, but WAIT, lets see mine.

1. Dump the idea of buying an FX 6300

2. Gather up both the money of GPU and CPU you were thinking off

3. Combine to get The 4rth gen I5

4. ''Ignore GPU, continue build''

5. Make the PC, Withstand the Integrated intel chip with the I5 till all the new games coming on consoles release ''November''

6. GTA 5 released, finished the game on console, done with it. Sell The console.

7. Get the money left from the GPU and CPU money combination, add it to the sale price of the console.

8. Get the HD 7970

9. There, i now have a real Gaming rig with a 4rth gen i5 and an HD 7970 instead of the FX 6300 and the GTX 760, but i sacrificed my console, and won't be able to get the next gen consoles for a loooong while.

So you guys know what the other plan will be, get the mediocre rig, save up the middle of next year, get the PS4, and go broke more buying its expensive games.

Might i have your opinions?

People will only be able to give opinions. There are no right/wrong answers truly. No PC vs Console debate.

People who go for value + graphics/eye candy will opt for PC. GTA V will go to PC, look at GTA IV. Do not forget the power of mod support; think Skyrim.

People who just want to buy a game, not worry about driver updates, and play will go console. The advantage of the console = games will run on it for sure. There may be rare in-game stutters but the games will run fine.

This is as simple as it gets in terms of generalizing the two categories.

My philosophy: If the game is available on PC, I go PC. But there are times I purchase a console just for Sony-exclusives, not by choice.

EDIT: tl;dr If you are to go one way or another...
