I managed to break the 3 pins off the cpu fan pinout on the motherboard. And my boards bios doesnt support bypassing it. I dont really feel like buying a new board and noticed that i still have about 5/8 in of pin left under the plastic connector. Kinda odd that it set so high up but i gave it a shot and cut the plastic connection out and just placed my female connection on the remaining pins. Pc booted but the system fan error press f2 to continue showed up before boot. Now my question is will this work well and is there something i can do to secure the pin connection better?

disable fan warning and connect it directly to a molex cables power supply or hook it up to one of the other fan headers

My pc doesnt let me bypass fan options, wish i could though. Already tried.

Update: i might just buy a 3pin fan that i can mount that will just run. And still connect cpu fan to molex
