I recently installed the Corsair h100i into my system (replacing a hyper 212 evo) and temps are great. My only problem is that the fans are incredibly loud! Is there any way to control this system? Could I unplug the fans from the corsair unit itself and plug them into my case fan controller? That way when gaming I can just push them to 100% and for browsing the web I can adjust my case fan controller accordingly. Is it ok to do that with this CPU cooler? or MUST the fans be plugged into the h100i. Does the pump run at a maximum fixed speed? And If it doesn't and changes, If I was to unplug the fans from the h100i, would this mess the pump up. Some help for making this beast quieter when I don't need all that cooling would be much appreciated. I thought that it was supposed to turn the fans down on its own when not under heavy CPU usage? Thankyou

Yes you can plug them into your fan controller. The H100 fans are loud and sometimes plugging them into a fan connector or getting a new set of fans such as the AF120's/SP120's is necessary. You can control them by the fan controller however make sure you do this when your system is off dont go changing them while its running.

I just recently (last week) replaced my h100i fans with Noctua fans. Much quieter! They are pricey but worth the money.

When I get my h100i 3 weeks ago I swop out the fans with a pair of noctua too within 3 days. The original being high rpm is extremely loud on startup
