Hey internet, so I'm creating a new gaming computer, and I'm not quite sure if I know what I'm doing (first gaming rig was built for me)
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kjOQ
So first off, for harddrive space I have provide a SSD, but is SSD really that critical besides booting a computer up and what not (does it affect gameplay). And if I also put in a harddrive, should I do RAID (whats the point of that).
For a video card I listed the 780. Now I have the funds to get a 780, but if you have money, it doesn't mean you should spend it. I want the best gaming computer I can get obviously, but is there any point in a 780? There's a point where its just not worth it, where's that point.
And last but not least, a case. I have had overheating issues in the past due to a crappy case. I want a case with the best airflow possible, with over 9000 fans. My question is, full tower or mid tower. I plan on upgrading parts in the future (however long that will be) so keep that in mind for the case I guess.
Thanks a bunch for your input!
The OS will be windows 7 64 bit

If you have 1080p monitor you do not need more gpu than GTX 770
Here is cheap 650w XFX http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650xxxb9
(seasonic makes parts to this psu) and for one card 550w is enough.
750w you need to sli.

so here is better build:
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ks2C

If you want best psu then look rosewill capstone or tahcyon 550-750w
seasonic is good too. seasonic "G" and "X" are really good.
But here is good rosewill for one video card:

750w http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-capstone750m

Couple case that you may find good buy:

In your build was samsung 250GB SSD and that is TLC. Take better MLC pro version or cheaper sandisk MLC version.
They last much longer than TLC versions.

SSD makes things run 10* faster. So yes it is good to have. All programs are running faster when you have SSD.
No need for RAID with HDD if you are not video editing or some like that.
Just take good HDD seagate barracuda 1-3TB or WD blue.

Hey thanks for your input, but what about a case? My concerns are cooling (seriously I want the best cooling, 3 billion fans) and being able to upgrade, will I have enough room in a mid tower to upgrade to sli?
thanks!
