Hi,
This is my first build, and I would like a bit of confirmation or advice about the parts I have picked, the spec is as follows:

CPU: i5 3570k (ivy bridge)
GPU: nvidia EVGA GTX 760 SC
PSU: Corsair cxm 600w
Motherboard: ASROCK extreme 4 Z77
RAM: 8gb corsair vengence (2x4gb)
Case: corsair carbide 300r

I'm just wondering about a few things:

Is the motherboard and PSU I have chosen of reasonable quality ?
(they have all the connections/ports I need)

Am I overspending on any components?

Which version of the GTX 760 should I go for? - I was thinking about the 'shrouded' case with a single fan (exhausts hot air out the back of the case) but do they have coolant problems compared to the dual fan versions?

The case has 1x 140mm and 1x 120mm fans, will that be enough, or will I need more?

- I'm open to suggestions, thanks in advance.

Are u using pcpartpickers.com? It would be glad if u give us the detail list.

If u don't go overclocking, a i5-3350p or other non-k CPU should be enough, and then no need to buy a Z77 mobo. (But if u go OC' this mobo u choose is good.)

I'm not sure about something. When I browsing in the forum, many guys suggest choosing 4th i5 processor in the threads. If they were right, u could choose a i5-4xxx CPU plus a B85 mobo. But personally I think 3rd i5 is enough, the biggest improvement of 4th i5 is the GPU part (about 20% better), not the CPU part (about 5-7% better)

For PSU, I suggest XFX P1-650X-XXB9, compares with CX600, it has modular design therefore it could sustain more heat, and another 50W leave the rig some space to protect the system. And, it's on sale and much cheaper than original price. It's worthwhile for your build

Sorry, I forgot to mention I live in the uk - sadly this means the PSU you recommended (without the same deal) is kind of over budget at about £90 (converts to about $140 US dollars) - the availability of components is restricted and the prices are quite high here unfortunately...

Although I was reviewing XFX P1-650S-NLB9 PRO650W (cheaper) is it worth the extra £10 over the corsair for the brand and reviews? (even if its not modular which doesn't bother me too much) ?
