Hello everyone,

I intend assembling a new rig, the specifications are as follows:
Processor: 3rd gen i5 3570 3.4 Ghz
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB 1600
HDD: WD Caviar Green 2 TB
Graphic card: Zotac Nvidia 650 ti 1 GB

But however, i'm confused if i should go for the gigabyte ga-h77-d3h or the asus p8h77-m, initially i planned getting the gigabyte, but however after checking forums, many have preferred asus over gigabyte, so how bad is the gigabyte and whats good about the asus? please share your experience.

Both ASUS and Gigabyte are top tier manufacturers. Buying from either is likely a good move. However, if you have the 3570K and think you may like to try overclocking in the future, get the ga-Z77-d3h or the p8z77-m or a motherboard with a Z77 chipset. the H chipsets are more geared toward an i3 in a Home Theatre PC (HTPC).
