Basiclly when I move my mouse or a window fast on the screen, there are very short 'trails' after it. I have checked that the Windows mouse trail is turned off. Can someone tell me if this is normal?

Monitor: BenQ XL2411T 144hz turned on, AMA is set to premium, Instant Mode is on.
GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 670 Power Edition

Thank you in advance:)

Solution
I'd imagine so. I've seen it on every monitor I've used.

You can see a similar effect if you move your arm in front of a strobing light; you see it in discrete, repeated steps.

Hey, thanks for the answer. I don't really know alot about monitors. What is the update period? The monitors response time should be 1 ms.

I'm a bit new to this site. I might accidentally have picked this as the solution.:D

The time it takes between one frame arriving and the next - 1/144 seconds in this case, or about 7ms. If it were longer, the previous mouse pointer would remain past when the new one appeared.

Most likely it's that the response time for your eyes is higher, and the duplicates aren't being ignored because it's in discrete steps.

Just to get this straight. This should be perfectly normal and there is no way to 'fix' it. Am I right?
