Your question

Bluetooth Microphone Is Too Quiet?

July 25, 2013 6:40:38 AM

I am literally about to flip out and throw this headset out the window. Over the past few weeks I have been trying to get a decent headset which I can use with both my PC and PS4 when it comes out. I have been through three so far, all of which I have been displeased with.

Anyhow, so I got the Turtle Beach PX5's today, which I read on their website should work perfectly fine on PC. The headset's audio works fine and I'm happy with that, but the mic is just pissing me off. Basically, it uses a bluetooth connection for the microphone, so I have a Kinivo BTD-400 bluetooth dongle which it is connected to, and according to my PC the pairing is fine. However, when I test the mic it picks up next to no sound. I have to put the mic into my mouth and scream at it for it to pick up any form of sound, and this fills about 1-2 green bars on my settings (about 10% of the max volume), which is pathetic and unusable. I have gone to sound settings, placed 'levels' to 100, adjusted the mic settings in Turtle Beach's own equaliser program and done everything I can... nothing works? All my drivers seem to be up to date too.

Any suggestions?
