problems with videocard

i installed a new videocard (hd 7870 XT) in my mobo (asus b85m-G) but i accidently broke the little plastic thing of m\the PCIe slot, i installed it anyway but with no click. the computer is wroking fine but is there anything where i should worry about? and what is that plastic thing doing there anyway? thanks

It's no problem folks do it all the time, it helps lock the back foot to the mobo, just be sure you have it screwed into the back plate of the case where your ports are
