Hello. My friends has a motherboard with B75 chipset (socket 1155) and want to get an i7 3770. My first thought was that he's gonna have some troubles with bottleneck since this mboard sin an asus 50€ cost aprox and that cpu is two much for it.
He uses the PC to work with massive size pictures (he's a proffesional photographer)
Thanks for your help!!

No bottleneck there. As long as it can handle the wattage of the CPU, you are fine. The Z77 boards are not much different other than overclocking capability. If that is a non K 3770, then no point in getting a more expensive board. Also, if you want to save a few $$ you can get this instead. It is an i7 badged as a Xeon at an i5 like price. :D

Solution

B75 boards have more than 1 PCIe slot and support Turbo Boost. And SMART has nothing to do with the chipset.

No. They're morons, the chipset has nothing to do with what CPU you can run (apart from needing an overclocking-enabled chipset to overclock an unlocked CPU).
