Faulty PSU possibly? And a good replacement.

Hello, I'm looking to replace what I believe to be a faulty PSU. Under heavy loads when playing graphically demanding games, my computer randomly shuts down and restarts itself, with no blue screen. I checked my temps constantly and my CPU doesn't go over 55C and my GPU doesn't go over 65C. So I ruled out overheating. After messing around with my fan settings etc I've come to the conclusion that it's probably a dodgy PSU considering I bought a cheap 450W one to support a relatively decent gaming machine (I'll post my specs below the post). I've been looking around for a decent, brand-name PSU that's 600W or over at around £50-£55 and I'm about to order this:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I've made a decent choice? I mainly use my PC for light video editing and gaming (DayZ, BF3, Skyrim etc) I have no expertise on power supplies so help would be appreciated, thanks.

Specs:

CPU- AMD Bulldozer FX-4170 @ 4.2GHz
MoBo- ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
RAM- 4Gb Samsung DDR3 @ 1333MHz
GPU- AMD Radeon HD 7870 2Gb
PSU- 450W Quiet 80 PLUS dual rail PSU
HDD- 2 TB Caviar Black hard drives.

Solution

SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

$64.99

Within your price range I would recommend this, it is made by Seasonic:
XFX P1-550S-XXB9 PRO550W Core Edition Power Supply
http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-P1-550S-XXB9-PRO550W-Edition-Supply/dp/B004RJ8EKI/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1374767090&sr=1-3
It is a little less wattage, but has 44amps on the +12V circuit which is more than enough for your system;
The 7870 has a recommended PSU wattage of 500watts and only 23amps; The XFX has 44amp.

The only issue I have is that I plan to upgrade to a 7970 in September, so I'll most likely need the extra wattage. 550W is cutting it fine as my system will need roughly 520W with the new GPU. The 600/650W seemed like a good option

I'm currently in the UK so buying from NewEgg isn't a possibility, I'm afraid. The same power supply on UK websites is over £65/$100. Would the Corsair one I linked do the same job?
