Im using Gigabyte x58 UD7 Extreme Edition motherboard today I have just changed the TIM on my Cpu in order to decrease the Temp of my CPU. After I started my pc I made a quick run with prime 95 to check the temp and stability of my cpu. My pc stopped working so I decided to restart it after I pushed to restart button my mother kept posting itself without any boot. I removed Rams(5x Kingston Hyperx 582GB 2000Mhz) and reinstalled them. Im using Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 W PSU and on my motherboard I get the error code 88 (8B). Can you help me with that guys, I think I just blowed out my PC :)

Nothing is in there. It could be a CPU, PSU or a Motherboard problem as far as I searched on Internet.

I am very sorry to say this, but your motherboard may be dead. I myself have had problems with a Gigabyte Z68-UD3H motherboard on one of my rigs after the first few months of use. I tried every single thing I could to get it back to life but nothing worked, the post screen would come up and then freeze. Even the BIOS couldn't be entered into after all my attempts to load it up. Since nothing at all was working, I called Gigabyte and talked with a very nice guy(no homo) who tried having me troubleshoot my motherboard and check for shortages. Once the call ended, and every test failed, the guy from Gigabyte concluded it was dead. Luckily, I had a warranty from microcenter and it had about 15 days left. I returned the Gigabyte mobo and got a Z77 Extreme 4 for free.
