I do not know which card I should buy with my new FX-8320 Rig, i'm thinking if i get the cheaper ones i could, in the near future, buy another and setup crossfire. These are the ones that are on the table:

So far i've got my eyes on the 2gb msi 7790 or the gigabyte 2gb 650 ti however the others also seem awesome.

Cheers,
Jack

Solution
Definitely go for a single higher end card.

The 7870 (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7870) benchmarks twice as high as the 7770 (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7770) and doesn't cost twice as much. Plus crossfire doesn't work as well as you would hope these days, so it wouldn't be equal with two 7770's anyways. I have an XFX 7870 and it's an awesome card, you'll be future proofed for a while with the option of crossfiring further down the road when they've gotten their drivers figured out.

EDIT: the rest of the pages you linked finally loaded...i guess it is twice as much. but i'd still do it if you can afford it. You'll get a much better experience.

XFX cards use sub-par components, a fairly poor cooling system, and their customer service is awful. Pretty much everyone on this forum will agree that XFX are to be avoided when it comes to graphics cards, but their PSUs are superb.

Well, i've got 2 XFX graphics cards, and i'd have to say that i've never had any trouble with either of them. The Double D cooled cards never get very hot...and have a lifetime warranty, which i don't see any other cardmakers doing. I'd be wary of the core editions though with the single fan, they don't have the lifetime warranty.

I had one as well. The lifetime warranty is worth nothing, because their RMA process is absolutely outrageous. In the end, I gave up and bought an MSI card instead, and have never looked back.

Huh, hopefully i have a couple of good ones, but i've never had to RMA with them...what's outrageous about it?

Hopefully you do :)

And it's outrageous because they make no effort to follow the RMA through or even respond to you in the first place. I had to email them numerous times to receive a reply, which took me about 2 weeks, then after they finally replied, I had to issue my serial number, then they failed to respond again, so I had to wait for weeks of constantly barraging them with emails before they replied, then they asked me for the serial number again. After just over a month, I was getting nowhere, so I just bought a card from MSI instead.

I would never recommend XFX for graphics cards ever again. Their PSUs are damn good, but god forbid that one was to fail, as you'd never get it RMA'd.

Good to know, i'm going through something like that with Xigmatek right now about a case, the smaller brands that make components but don't sell at retails stores definitely don't have the service that bigger companies do

My minimum is around 90 and max is probably 130 but if a 150 will make a massive difference then i'd maybe stretch to it

Just went through your list and you've found some great prices.

With your budget don't short yourself especially as you have a very capable CPU and I'm taking it you do play games hence the GPU interest.

Your first two links 7850/7870 are what I'd go for, I own a HD 7850 myself.

If your a gamer and want the best settings (Ultra) on almost everything you play go for the HD 7870.

If you play games now and again but are not overly fussed and will be happy with High to Ultra settings then go HD 7850.

This is really a case of how much £20 is worth to you vs performance.

PS - If you run a decent sized 1080p screen that's even more reason to go for the HD 7870.

Your choice, but good finds.

As for the 650 Ti or 660 the HD 7870 outperforms them as far as this is concerned.
