Hello everyone, I was thinking about buying this laptop.

A notebook DELL inspiron 17R Special Edition, i7-3630QM, 8GB RAM, 32 SSD and a nvidia 650m, but I was wondering if in this model I can upgrade from 8 GB RAM to 12 or 16 GB RAM, I will use CAD softwares and I need a lot of RAM.

According to the Dell expert in the thread, the system only supports 8GB of RAM.

As mentioned in the DELL forum the 8GB module may or may not work but DELL does not recommend it. For Memory intensive applications try getting a Desktop or workstation rather than a laptop. .. even major memory retailers haven't listed it (check the below sites) so, I'd say dont try it. It's not worth it.
