hey, i'm having this problem every once in a while where while im in the middle of playing a game, my game will just crash and i will get a message saying "display driver amdkdmap stopped responding and has recovered" i dont know what this is, but its very annoying and i dont know how to fix it. any help would be much appreciated

it could be card overheating, bad driver, or power problems. Try downloading the latest driver and the driver cleanup utility from amd. Run the driver utility and completely remove the old driver and install new.

1. open REGEDIT
2. goto HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers.
3. Add following DWORD "TdrLevel"
4. Set the value to "0"

that cleanup utility is for windows 7 os and above, i have found a place to uninstall my video drivers within windows, its called device manager and then i go to my graphics card, drivers, then there is an option to uninstall drivers. would that be ok to do?
yes but that will not always remove everything. the utility will work on your system (Windows Vista / Windows Vista 64 bit / Windows 7 / Windows 7 64 bit / Windows 8 / Windows 8 64 bit). just run it and it will completely remove all instances of the driver. then reinstall the driver.
