160GB HDD/500GB HDD for Primary/ Storage Drives? Tags: Storage Hard Drives Last response: July 25, 2013 12:17 PM in Storage Share nsahawks7 July 25, 2013 11:06:47 AM Usually an SSD and an HDD would be optimal but im low on cash as of right now so this is only temporary. Im wondering if i can make the 160GB one my primary boot but store games, videos, movies on the 500GB one. Ive searched but couldnt really find anything and im a noob when it comes to storage. Thanks all. More about : 160gb hdd 500gb hdd primary storage drives nsahawks7 July 25, 2013 12:17:46 PM antiglobal said:Of course. Just format a 160GB drive to the file system of your choice (EXT4 for Linux, NTFS for Windows, and I dont know about Mac) and install your operating system on it. Should I install an OS on the 500GB HDD as well (Using Windows btw). m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
