Hi - I am desperate. I have a house with many wireless devices: tablets, ipods, Wii, TV, Laptop, printer, etc. Everything works fine 99.99% of the time. Everything except 1 desktop computer, running a (now) fresh version of Windows 7.

I tried 3 different adapters, 2 USB and 1 PCI, and although I have a very strong 4-5 bar signal and connect to the WiFi immediately, after 1-5 minutes it drops and I need to run troubleshooter and reset the adapter. Sometimes I can reconnect, sometimes I need to reboot.

All the other devices on the network have no issue. What can cause this?? Router is Linksys E3200, current adapter is TP-Link TL-WN851ND.

Solution
I know you've tried several, but rule out the adapter by trying it in another PC that works, and put that PC's adapter in the troublesome PC and see if it works in that one too.

Maybe, they are on different floors, but there is another deskop and a laptop right beside it and they both work fine all the time. So do all the other elements on that floor (main floor, the router is on the 2nd floor).
