I want to buy new PC parts off ebay to save on taxes, is it safe?

I've noticed that new parts can be found for $5-10 cheaper and there are no taxes. I can save a great deal of money this way, but I don't know if it's safe. The reason the sellers can sell them for cheap is because they usually clip off the UPC code for rebates and then sell the product.

If you are in a U.S. state and an Internet retailer has no physical building in that state you will not be charged tax. You do however have a obligation to pay sales tax on internet purchases that you notify your state about. If you look at any ratings of new electronics items you will find a % of any item will be faulty. It is a lot easier to get an rma from a well know cyber store than some-one on E-Bay. There are lots of items on cyber stores that have no shipping costs.
