Whats the point in HP and Dell putting in "k" CPUs when their motherboards dont overclock. Does the Turbo Boost use the "k" advantage?

Solution
There are a couple other minor differences. The K model has a 100 MHz higher standard clock speed, but Turbo Boost clocks are the same. Which means there's rarely going to be any difference there, and even when there is it's still going to be tiny. The 3770K also drops support for VT-d and TXT, both of which the regular 3770 supports.

No, the Dell and HP CPUs cannot overclock, the K means unlocked multiplier, an overclocker oriented feature of being able to overclock without adjusting the bus speed. However, Dell and HP will usually disable overclocking in the BIOS, rendering it useless.
